    主讲人简介:
    Hang Shi教授,2001年毕业于美国田纳西州立大学,后在美国哈佛医学院Beth Israel医学研究中心从事博士后工作,现为美国乔治亚州立大bbin电子物系终身教授。Pro. Hang Shi实验室的研究主要集中在研究脂肪细胞生物学性状,炎症反应信号通路,胰岛素分子信号通路以及构建与肥胖、糖尿病发生发展相关的各种转基因动物模型方面。先后在Diabetes,Journal of clinical investigation, Cell metabolism等国外顶尖期刊上发表20余篇具有较高影响力的文章,获得多项美国NIH(国立卫生研究院,相当于我国国家基金级别),美国ADA糖尿病协会等多项研究基金,在肥胖和糖尿病发病机制的研究领域做出很多贡献。  

    讲座内容摘要:
    Obesity is the most important identified factor contributing to insulin resistance. The physiological mechanisms linking obesity to insulin resistance include altered production of various adipocyte-derived molecules, among which are the adipokines adiponectin and resistin, proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, RBP4, and FFAs themselves. It is increasingly recognized that obesity is characterized by chronic activation of inflammatory pathways and that inflammatory signaling pathways in obesity are causally linked to insulin resistance. However, the fundamental mechanisms responsible for activating inflammatory pathways in obesity are poorly understood. In this report we identified several genetic pathways which might be involved in the activating inflammatory pathways in obesity, such as the innate immunity signaling pathways TLR4 and SOCS3,the nutrient sensing pathway macrophage AMPK, the epigenetic regulation of macrophagye inflammation pathway DNMT1/3.
