    摘要：
    This will be a presentation/discussion on improving writing of scientific manuscripts for publication. We will focus on some common problems that editors encounter from scientists who write in English when their first language is different (especially Mandarin). A text will be made available (Yang) and examples from recent manuscripts will be discussed. Questions are encouraged.

    Michael J. Murphy教授是国际知名生物技术领域专家，纽约州立大学杰出教授，曾获多项杰出教学成就奖。Murphy教授是美国科学伦理学的推行者，美国科学促进会成员中第一个被选为司法部首席检察官John Ashcroft的科学顾问，在国际科学伦理学领域广受好评。Michael J. Murphy教授在教学上的突出贡献也使得他成为美国纽约州立大学有史以来4位获得“杰出教学教授”荣誉称号者之一。
