    Recently a renewed and increasing interest has been observed towards bioactive phytochemical substances. In their preparation and purification the ion exchange plays a significant role. Ion exchange resins constitute an important research area as for development of new advanced materials that can be used either to improve the existing pharmaceutical forms or to obtain new sustained/controlled drug delivery systems. Moreover, the resins are used in various pharmaceutical applications, primarily for taste masking and for controlled release systems in liquid forms. In tablet formulations, ion exchange resins have been used as disintegrates because of their swelling ability. In addition, ion exchangers are commonly applied in various separation, purification, and decontamination processes. The most popular examples are water softening and water purification as well as herbal extracts purification. Therefore, in the presentation the main aspects connected with the application of ion exchangers in pharmacy will be discussed.

    Dorota Ko·ody��ska,女,1971年生。博士,副教授。居里夫人大学教学副校长,居里夫人大学理事会成员,无机化学学院负责人。于2012年起担任居里夫人大学国际交流分管副校长,自2013年起每年负责主持由波兰化学会与普瓦维新合成研究所主办的-全波兰科学与工业会议-卢布林bbin电子会议。Ko?ody��ska副教授的主要研究领域为离子交换技术用于富集环境中d-,F-金属离子的研究。这类金属多为对环境危害很大的重金属类物质,她与她的课题组成功的开发了多种除去环境中有害的镍,铬,铅砷等重金属的新一代离子络合剂,成功解决环境中铅,铬等重金属污染,最近她的团队开发可生物降解的重金属络合剂以及生物碳改性的混合吸附剂,可以用于吸附废水中的重金属同时不会造成额外的污染。Ko·ody��ska副教授在金属络合材料开发领域取得了突出的成就,其所带领的科研团队于2010至2013年连续3次获得居里夫人大学校长奖。截至2017年,她共发表250多篇具有影响力的文章,其中多篇发表于于Chem. Eng. J., Desalination等有影响力的Sci期刊,著有8部重金属处理方面的专著并在200多个学术会议上发表会议报告等。
    Prof. UMCS Dorota Ko·ody��ska is a scientist employ at the Faculty of Chemistry, at Curie Sk·odowska University in Lublin (Poland). In her research she focuses on practical applications of ion-exchange chromatography of d- and f- elements, chelating agents of a new generation, technology of wastes and wastewaters utilization, low-cost sorbents used in wastewaters utilization, chemistry and technology of rare earth elements as well as technology of preparation of high purity inorganic and organic compounds. Her scientific output includes about 110 papers published in international journals and over 140 communiques presented at national and international conferences. Her scientific papers were cited over 660 times in the world literature (h-index 13). Besides the cognitive aspects, these papers are definitely of applicative character. She has published articles in Chemical Engineering Journal, Desalination, Hydrometallurgy, Journal of Rare Earths, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research and Separation Science and Technology.
