报告内容:This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of recent progress on the preparation of mixed matrix membranes (MMM) for liquid–solid separation. MMM is one of common categories which have recently appeared in the membrane technology and it can be defined as a discontinuous phase embedded in a continuous phase or matrix. For example, metals, metal oxides, molecular sievers, and so on, are incorporated as nanofiller, fully surrounded by a continuous matrix that is often an organic polymer. The advances and purposes of MMMs application are firstly considered in this presentation, focusing on the main structure characteristics that improve the functional membrane properties (structure - properties relation), followed by the effect of nanoparticle concentration on the further membrane performance. Subsequently the disccusion is focused in improvements balance between water permeation flux, recovery rates and water quality (rejection potential). Finally, in the light of clarified the most promising nanoparticles as inorganic filler for production of MMMs, the environmental risk associated to the use of nanomaterials and the integrity of membrane functions are also analyzed.
