　　US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) passed by both chamber of Congress with bipartisan support. In 2011, President signed FSMA into law. Since then, FDA is working on the process of implementing the law. There are seven rules FDA proposed in order to improving capacity to prevent food safety problems inspection of records, improving capacity to detect and response food safety problems and improving the safety of imported food. First time ever, FSMA will require the imported food has the same standard as domestic food which will not only impact the USA food industry; it will also impact the foreign food industry especially China food and herb ingredients industry. In this presentation, we will also introduce the USA drug regulation and new trend. Through this presentation, you will have basic knowledge about USA Food and Drug regulation.

　　Dr. Hua Deng is the president and the founder of Davidia Healthtech, LLC, a professional service company for food, dietary supplement and cosmetic. Dr. Deng holds a Doctoral degree from Lanzhou University in China with a major in Analytical Chemistry.
　　She has extensive experience of global regulatory affair in the food, dietary supplement and cosmetic industries. Prior she started up Davidia, Dr. Deng worked for an international dietary supplement company. Her role was providing regulatory guidance and recommends alternative registration strategy and formula approaches if initial product formulas had potential regulatory enforcement concerns and she is project managing for the whole registration process with various countries consultants and local management team. With her expertise in regulatory and strong scientific background in formulation, she successfully help company introduced food supplement, dietary supplement and cosmetic products in 5 continents with bbin电子 than 20 countries which include Asia, EU, Africa, North and South America and Oceania.
